2019 - 2020 News
2019 provided the BioSand Bag team with many challenges and successes. We began our outreach to potential investors, winning awards for our “pitch”. In our ongoing effort to improve our product, we have sourced new materials which are more sturdy and more resistant to UV. Our partners, Vida Liquida, made some connections with a Government Organization in Colombia, CAR. They are the equivalent of the EPA and Water Ministry. We donated a filter that was successfully installed and provided the level of purity that we anticipated. We donated 4 more that were showcased at a major televised event in Jerusalem, Colombia and provided water for an entire village. We are now waiting on an order from CAR for our first major sale. In 2020 demonstration filters will be installed across the street from the busy Yonkers, NY train station in Westchester County and in the busy riverside district in Catatumbo Colombia
On another front, we have partnered with the Rochester Institute of Technology to leverage college students to assist us in the validation of the P3 by virtue of an independent installation and test. They have also designed the prototype of a frame to support the P3, but which is light enough to ship with the bag.
